Rock My Soul Seeks Assistant Director/Pianist/Accompanist
Rock My Soul, the 25-member choir that's taking the Seacoast by storm, is seeking a new pianist/accompanist for rehearsals and gigs. In only 5 years, Rock My Soul has become well known for its unique brand of rootsy, raise-the-rafters style of gospel music, and performs throughout Maine, NH, and MA. If you're someone who has a love and respect for various forms of traditional gospel music, we want to hear from you! This is an exciting opportunity for the right person.
Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 7-9 pm in South Berwick, ME. You will be assisting the director in rehearsing a choir of about 25 male and female voices, as well as playing at gigs. The music is traditional Gospel and performances are with a full band. Choir performances are approximately once a month with the opportunity to accompany other small group performances. Music is selected by committee. Ability to learn piano parts by ear, as well as read music, required. Compensation is commensurate with experience and abilities. The idea candidate is a team player who thrives in working with others in a mutually respectful environment.
