Dawn Boyer, Executive Director
dawnboyer@dfgp.org
The GMP is founded upon Dawn Boyer's vision, and as Executive Director, she's responsible for helping to guide the Board and membership according to that vision. She also attends to many of the day-in/day-out details that keep the organization running--booking performances, writing concert programs, researching the history of American gospel music, formulating small groups, attending to fundraising, directing Rock My Soul, hiring musicians and soloists, leading and working with the Artistic Committee on song selection and arrangements, and the like.
For more than 25 years, she has performed as a gospel, blues and R&B vocalist for audiences across the nation. Known as a soulful "shouter" as well as a singer of quiet, deep, warm resonance, she puts all of her heart and life experience into any song she sings. Her dynamic voice is both powerful and moving, but the emotion she gives to a song and to audiences is even more so. In addition to making her living as a musician and working for the GMP, Dawn is a visual artist and has her own web/graphic design business.

Carolyn Morse-Finn, Director
A founding member, Carolyn Morse-Finn offers valuable expertise from both an educational and musical perspective. Her years of teaching at the secondary level give us insight into how our workshops can be most productive and successful with older learners, and her vast experience singing with various choirs helps us create a strong foundation for our own. She is also a member of the GMP's Artistic Committee.
James Scafide, Esquire, Director
James Scafide serves as legal representation for the GMP. He graduated from Boston College and Harvard Law School.
